There is always a catch to booking a new life through the internet. I'm working with a 50/50 record of Internet selections...
Housing Accomodation: I really couldn't have picked a better area to live. Having Regent's Park as your backyard and close access to the tube is pretty amazing so far. I love the shocked reaction people give when hearing this is where I live, its like they are amazed I found a place here, granted they have not seen my room, which reminds me of a bomb shelter, but at least I don't have a roommate yet! The suitemate situation could be better but I can't complain, they are quite except for practicing their flutes every morning. They do however think its very strange I don't cook. Yesterday, I was asked, "Why do we never see you in the kitchen?" HA! I laughed and told them I don't cook, her only response was "How do you eat, you can't seriously microwave everything?" Ah but I can..... Clearly I don't look like I'm starving or anything!
Internet decision #1: Great!
University Selection: I decided it would be a good idea to check out my campus before classes start. A 15 minute tube ride later and I was quickly reminded of Philly....not the good part of Philly. When the Internet lies, it really lies! I could do nothing but laugh as I strolled through what London Met calls "campus", what they really meant were dirty buildings surrounded by shitty conveinence shops and trash covered streets. Awesome! London Met's North Campus makes Drexel or Temple campuses look wonderful in comparison. I will be returning back to the lovely Regent's Park immediately after class every night......
Oh well, maybe the campus does not reflect the education I'm going to get......I should just be grateful I didn't decide to live closer to school!
Internet decision #2: Crap!
